IMAM/ YASSER MUHAMMAD ELKADY
Qari, Scholar of Qira’at & Maqamat, International Educator
Sheikh Yasser Elkady, born in Alexandria, Egypt, completed the memorization of the Holy Quran at age nine, known for his melodious and precise recitation. He studied under leading Quran reciters and scholars from Al-Azhar University, earning one of the highest Sanads (chains of transmission) in the ten canonical Qira’at. At Al-Azhar. He specialized in the fourteen Quranic recitations (Mutawatir and Shadh) and the science of vocal Maqamat, graduating in 2007. Sheikh Elkady served as Imam and official reciter at the World Islamic Sciences and Education University in Jordan. In 2011, he got called to be the Qari of the Jordanian Royal Court. He also used to recite on the Jordanian official Quran Radio in the weekly program. Sheikh Yasser Elkady has participated in numerous international Quran competitions and was honored to be recognized by His Royal Highness Prince Ali bin Nayef at the Hashemite International Quran Competition in 2011. With over 24 years of teaching experience, Sheikh Elkady has trained and graduated hundreds of Imams and Huffadh worldwide in both Qira’at and Maqamat. He currently serves as Imam of Colleyville Masjid in Texas and a Professor at Al-Huda University Online. and here are two testimonials from his students.
Sheikh Yasser is an excellent teacher and wonderful mentor. I initially started studying the art and science of qiraat and maqamaat under him in 2023. Sheikh Yasser took the time to explain the intricacies of each of the 8 core maqams and gave ample examples and advice on learning tilawat in the maqam. It is abundantly clear that he is not only extremely knowledgeable but also very determined to pass his knowledge on to his students. He makes sure to let you know when something is being prayed improperly and explains how to best pray the Quran according to its meaning. More recently, I have started classes to obtain my 10 Qiraat/narrations sanad from Sheikh Yasser and have began with the riwayah of warsh an nafi. The complex rules of tajweed and very easily understood when explained to by Sheikh Yasser and his mentorship has helped me to be consistent in my Hifz. It is very rare to find someone with the same expertise and passion as Sheikh Yasser within the United States. Sheikh Yasser is the kind of teacher that is caring and supportive to all of his students; one who is always there to help out when necessary. He truly does not miss anything and ensures that students are pronouncing every letter correctly . His mastery for the quran always remained the same and it made it easy for me to emphasize the importance of proper recitation. Sheikh Yasser was always encouraging us to memorize surahs and made memorization mean something and easy for us. His calm way and respectful presence always set the respectful, motivating positioning of learning. And I always got motivated by him as my teacher. I felt supported with Sheikh Yasser, regardless of how good or bad I was doing.

Sheikh Dr. Ahmed Al-Haddad is a distinguished scholar from Al-Azhar University, holding a Ph.D. in Quranic Interpretation and Sciences. He is the first-place winner of the Global Quran Memorization Competition, recognized for his exceptional mastery of the Quran. He currently serves as the Imam of Mas Katy Masjid in Texas, continuing his mission of teaching and inspiring through the Quran.

HAYDER AL-GABRI
Arabic Calligraphy Artist & Educator
Hayder Algabri is specializing in classical Arabic calligraphy. A graduate of the University of Baghdad in Middle Eastern Studies, he trained for over 15 years in the traditional Baghdadi and Ottoman schools of calligraphy.
Based in Texas, Mr. Algabri is known for his handcrafted tools, custom-blended inks, and handmade paper. He has taught and lectured internationally, including at the University of Milan and various institutions across the U.S.
he integrates history and culture into his teaching, offering workshops and private instruction for all levels. His work combines precision, tradition, and artistic passion.
