Early Life and Qur’an Memorization

I was born in Alexandria and moved with my family to Al-Beheira Governorate at the age of six.

I began memorizing the Qur’an at that young age and completed its memorization by the age of nine.

I studied and recited the Qur’an under several distinguished scholars, including:

Sheikh Abdel-Salam Al-Hayawi

Sheikh Mohamed Dar

Sheikh Mahmoud Hashim, the reciter of Al-Ibrahimi Mosque at the time. I received from him a high-level sanad in the narration of Ḥafṣ ‘an ‘Āṣim from the Shāṭibiyyah route, considered among the highest chains of transmission in the world today.

Sheikh Zakariya Abdel-Salam, under whom I completed the Ten Minor Qirā’āt (al-‘Ashr al-Ṣughrā) and received an ijāzah with the same elevated chain I obtained from Shaykh Mahmoud Hashim.

I then moved to Al-Azhar, where I formally studied the Ten Qirā’āt, graduating in 2007 with Excellent (Mumtāz).

Vocal Maqāmāt

I studied all vocal maqāmāt comprehensively and in depth under Professor Dr. Taha Abdel-Wahhab, from whom I received a certificate in all maqāmāt.

Work in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan

After completing my military service, I traveled to Jordan, where I served as:

Teacher at the Jordanian Association for the Preservation of the Holy Qur’an

Presenter and reciter of multi-qirā’āt recitations and lessons in qirā’āt and maqāmāt on the Jordanian National Qur’an Radio

During my stay, I completed a full recitation of the Qur’an in the Ten Major Qirā’āt (al-‘Ashr al-Kubrā) from the Ṭayyibat al-Nashr route, and received an ijāzah from Shaykh Mohamed Ghanem Akram Al-Ustah.

In 2012, I received a phone call inviting me to present official Qur’anic recitations at the Royal Court of Jordan.
